Meet Andrea and Sally-Ann, Co-Heads of Human Resources
“I could not be more excited about this opportunity I have with Sally-Ann to lead HR for Capital Group,” says Co-Head of Human Resources Andrea Gill. “‘It’s the power of two,’ is the way we like to put it,” says fellow Co-Head of HR Sally-Ann Tschanz.
Follow the duo as they work together in London, and remotely from Geneva, Los Angeles, and on the road. Both reflect on the early days of their collaboration — and the importance of being able to work through different perspectives as they make decisions and implement CG’s people strategy.
Meet Kevin, a Payroll Manager and leader in Capital’s Special Needs Network
“As the father of a child with Autism, Kevin is no stranger to the challenges that kids with special needs face. Kevin shares, “For me, parents with special needs children have a different manual. They’re going to be told what they are not capable of doing. Your job as a parent is to tell them what they are capable of doing.”
Kevin worked with his fellow Capital Group colleagues to develop a community of parents who have children with disabilities. Through this network, Kevin found out about the non-profit AbilityFirst which helps provide work opportunities to those with special needs. Kevin adds, “They just need to be given the opportunity. That’s what diversity means.”
