Capital Group seeks bright, highly motivated, and self-directed individuals to join our team. As an Equity Trading Analytics Research Specialist based in Hong Kong, you will provide analysis of Capital’s equity trading activities, with a focus on implicit and explicit trading costs of different trading strategies and methods, as well as conduct research on equity market characteristics.


  • You will provide quantitative and qualitative analysis of Capital’s equity trading and market activity.
  • You will collaborate with Equity Trading and Investment Professionals in the development of investment implementation strategies.
  • You will have an understanding of algorithmic and manual execution strategies and be able to communicate effectively about those strategies with Equity Traders and counterparties.
  • You will use a variety of analysis tools and technical skills to develop clear and informative reports and visualizations of data sets to support analysis. 
  • You will stay up-to-date on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory issues.
  • You will build and maintain strong internal and external relationships. 


  • You have 2 to 5 years of experience, ideally involved in execution consulting or electronic sales at a broker-dealer, or performs transaction analysis, market structure analysis, or compliance at a broker-dealer or a money management firm. 
  • You understand equity trading market structure and trading rules for Asia country markets.
  • You have experience with common methods and benchmarks in Transaction Cost Analytics.
  • You have intermediate Excel and SQL skills.
  • You are familiar with Alteryx, Tableau, R, Python, and Powershell.
  • You have an understanding of equity market trade and quote data.  Experience with the OneTick historical tick server platform is a plus. 
  • You demonstrate sound judgment in resolving matters of high complexity.
  • You are an effective written and oral communicator.
  • You demonstrate strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, with attention to detail.
  • You are able to work calmlyflexibly, and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
