Sales Process
- Generating, preparing for and participating in prospecting meetings with RMs.
- Representing Capital at industry conferences / seminars, ensuring we maximise prospecting opportunities by preparing thoroughly prior to the event, proactively networking during the event and diligently following up afterwards.
- Handling prospect requests for information through multiple channels (inbound calls, web searches etc.).
- Prospect meeting preparation and coordination of follow-up items.
- Proactively managing and resolving internal issues relating to winning business.
- Liaison with Investment Professionals, internal departments (Marketing, Fee Consulting, RFP team, Legal etc.), other RMs and BDAs as part of the sales cycle.
- Maintaining information on prospects and updating critical management information about prospects and clients into the required systems.
- Over time working towards making outbound calls to introduce Capital and secure meetings with prospects.
- Coordination and occasionally customisation of materials for use with prospects to create interest and build relationships.
- Proactively engaging and resolving issues such as operational breach with internal relevant teams and clients.
- Due to the client coverage for this role, Korean language skills (both written and spoken) are a must.
Strategic Market Planning
- Market research on our target institutions.
- Development and exploration of new areas for business development.
- Involvement in business planning alongside RM and working with Business Management.
- Preparation of management reports to reflect the new business effort.
- Liaison with various industry organisations.
Internal Projects and Departmental Participation
- Work as part of a collegial team of BDAs that shares ideas and best practices.
- Work as part of a broader Asia Distribution group committed to building Capital Group’s business in Asia.
