We are currently hiring high caliber candidates with a passion for providing outstanding customer service to our shareholders and financial advisors. Client Services Representatives at Capital Group are strong problem-solvers and enjoy learning new things, even when they are challenging.  They are reliable, motivated, team-oriented and committed to providing a superior level of customer service.

While no direct sales is involved, you will have the opportunity to learn and educate others about the mutual fund industry and be an ambassador for a global brand and industry leader. You will be part of a team that genuinely cares about helping you succeed. You will receive 12 weeks of classroom training, as well as 8 weeks of reinforcement taking live calls and shadowing senior associates.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Receive inbound calls from shareholders and financial advisors across the country
  • Help callers manage their mutual fund accounts by completing on-line account transactions, such as investments, redemptions, and account maintenance
  • Educate callers on American Funds’ services and broader industry policies
  • Research and resolve customer inquiries in a timely manner
  • Provide telephone support to website users
  • Provide our internal and external customers with a positive service experience

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree OR 1+ years' work experience in Customer Service 
  • Interest in learning about financial services and technology (no prior industry experience is necessary)
  • Ability to navigate through various systems 
  • Ability to adapt and apply considerable amounts of information, as  regulations change frequently
  • Flexibility to work additional hours as needed, as business volumes are highly cyclical
