Our Global Finance Group partners with other Capital Group departments to proactively provide relevant, timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis, innovative solutions and other insightful information that impacts business decision-making while protecting company interests.


As a Manager of Global Financial and Regulatory Reporting group based in Irvine, CA you will serve as a technical accounting and regulatory subject matter resource for Global Finance and to Capital Group broadly. You will oversee the completion of bank and broker dealer regulatory filings, the production of private-company financial statements, and the coordination of related audits. You will develop your team by providing technical direction, leadership, and training and by reviewing work prepared by other associates.

Specific responsibilities for this role include:

  • Project manager and team leader ­– Setting objectives and deadlines, planning through the identification of deliverables and milestones, delegating and getting buy-in, informing and serving stakeholders, and driving to results
  • Agent for growth – Continuously improving processes, developing associates’ deep technical expertise and operational excellence, enhancing relationships within Global Finance and external stakeholders
  • Technical resource – Demonstrating and sharing deep technical accounting expertise, performing complex technical accounting and regulatory analysis, and encouraging the implementation of best practices in internal controls
  • Collaborator – Gathering diverse perspectives and business knowledge, synthesizing differing views and rigorous analysis into high quality conclusions, and contributing to collaborative decision-making and strategic initiatives in an impactful manner


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred
  • 7-9 years of experience in public and private accounting within a larger corporate environment (5+ years in public Big Four preferred)
  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP and experience in researching complex accounting matters for proper treatment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to lead others while maintaining effective business relationships with associates throughout the organization
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities for processes and reports
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel and experience with an enterprise accounting system such as SAP
