As a Global Real Estate Lead Program Manager within our Global Real Estate team, you will lead the real estate project delivery process for various Capital Group projects and offices throughout the world. Your scope will include overseeing project teams of internal and external team members, designers, consultants, contractors, and various other vendors. Your internal stakeholders will include IT, A/V, Office Services, Strategic Sourcing & Procurement, Security, Finance/Accounting and Legal groups. Project sponsors will include Regional and Global Senior Business Leaders. We will leverage your professional expertise to manage a multitude of projects that range in complexity from designing and constructing interior tenant improvements to critical infrastructure projects as well as smaller scale furniture reconfigurations.

 

Your project management skills ensure that controls are in place to manage a project budget and scope to align with Capital Group’s business objectives. You proactively identify problems and implement solutions that result in projects that are completed on time and within budget. To thrive in this role, you embrace collaboration and build strong relationships with regional partners (architects, engineers, general contractors, consultants) and Business Leaders. Your career has been built upon your success in Design and Construction project delivery within a high speed and dynamic environment. This role requires domestic and non-US travel approximately 20% of the time and has flexible work hours in order to accommodate international time zones as well as solving urgent requests.

  • You have deep knowledge in construction management and/or an architectural background with experience leading large scale projects with budgets up to $100 million.
  • You have extensive experience in workplace strategy, space planning, design, cost estimating and budget development, permitting, construction management and commissioning.
  • You know that successful projects require persistence, thoughtful back-up plans and nuanced alternative options.
  • You like digging into the numbers and are comfortable preparing financial reports and ensuring their accuracy.
  • You’re well versed in the ability to read, draw, and mark-up construction drawings and detailed design information. 
  • You’ve reached a teacher level expertise with MS Project and are proficient in Visio, CAD and Revit.
  • You possess a sense of urgency to complete a multitude of tasks and enforce strict project schedules and deliverables.
  • You’re a skilled communicator and have successfully led project and stakeholder meetings ranging in size, with diverse audiences and senior business leaders.
  • You possess strong analytical skills when developing space plans and are not afraid of questioning workplace strategies and space requirements.
  • You are comfortable maintaining accountability with your project team and can effectively lead the team through various obstacles on your path to a successful project completed on-time, within budget while effectively engaging and collaborating with a multitude of internal stakeholders.
