Capital Group’s Investment Operations Information & Insights is a global team with locations in Los Angeles, Irvine, Hampton Roads, London, Tokyo and Singapore.  The department is responsible for delivering accurate and timely investment management data and results.
As an Information & Insights Lead Global Securities Operations Analyst based in Irvine, you will be responsible for asset set-up as a result of trades and orders and maintenance of securities reference data for Capital Group.  You will be using market data vendor sources to create data records for all equity and fixed income securities and derivative instruments to facilitate trading, compliance, accounting, reporting and investment research requirements.  You will be interacting with key stakeholders and business partners across Investment Operations, Trading and the Investment Group.



  • Provide leadership/direction to the team, considering broader business needs
  • Collaborate with managers to develop and maintain an effective team
  • Lead or participate in projects and team/department initiatives
  • Research, source, and analyze securities reference data, along with company information, using market data and various vendor sources
  • Perform time-critical functions on a daily basis; asset setup, vendor feeds, quality control reports, etc.
  • Gather and verify information from various systems and sources; Bloomberg, Blackrock Aladdin, IDC, Telekurs, MSCI, and various ratings agencies
  • Collaborate with associates at different levels internally and externally
  • Monitor external service providers



  •  Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years accounting, finance, or industry experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce consistently accurate work and audit the work of others
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Demonstrates good judgment and understands how to mitigate risk
  • Passion for problem solving
