Information and Insights (I&I) is a global operational team with locations in Los Angeles, Irvine, London, and Singapore. We are seeking self-starting leaders who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, excel at working through ambiguity and demonstrate problem solving skills in a collaborative context.
As the Reference Data manager, based in Irvine, CA you will be actively engaged in redefining the operational environment that will support our business for years to come. You will coach and develop a team of motivated individuals and inspire them to achieve their highest potential. You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely execution of all related business processes, including asset setup, data quality reporting and publication and identifying and remediating issues or exceptions. You will also directly engage with key Reference Data stakeholders (i.e. Trade Operations, Legal/Compliance, Valuations, Pricing, Order Management, Corporate Actions, Fund Accounting, etc.) and partner closely with Information Technology to identify, prioritize and execute on key business projects and other business requests.
As the reference data product owner, you will also be accountable for the advancement of all aspects of reference data capabilities and service offerings. You will be responsible for the reference data strategic roadmap; leading cross-functional global teams and collaborating with senior management to define, launch and drive critical business initiatives. You will recommend investment reference data and operational solutions for the business and work with others across the organization to ensure our high standards for quality and excellence are maintained. 

•    Effectively manages and leads reference data team to meet daily operational objectives in a timely and accurate fashion.
•    Develops and fosters a highly-effective, highly-engaged global team to reach their full potential.
•    Collaborates with key business partners and stakeholders to review intake requests, review implementation capacity and ensure alignment with key business priorities. Accountable for prioritization of all work within reference data domain.
•    Collaborates with stakeholders to develop and socialize product vision, strategy, roadmap, comprehensive release plan and key initiatives broadly with stakeholders. Own all aspects of the reference data management tool and capabilities.
•    At least 8 years of experience in finance, accounting or a related field.
•    Demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage people, including coaching and developing for excellent performance
•    Ability to achieve results and lead teams in a fast paced, dynamic environment
•    Excellent project management skills
•    Analytical thinker who demonstrates the initiative to identify and logically resolve issues. This specifically requires being inquisitive and able to deal with ambiguity while developing approaches that lead to successful resolution
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to credibly facilitate cross-department discussions
•    Demonstrates the initiative to stay abreast of industry and business trends and events
•    Applies sound business knowledge and compliance principles to a variety of situations
•    Undergraduate degree required. CPA or MBA is a plus
•    3-5 years reference data or security data experience, preferred
•    Previous product owner experience preferred
•    Previous Aladdin, Bloomberg, Charles River experience preferred
