Our Global Finance Group partners with other Capital Group departments to proactively provide relevant, timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis, innovative solutions and other insightful information that impacts business decision-making while protecting company interests.

 

As a Senior International Tax Analyst you will share responsibility for tax research, documentation, planning and compliance related to our global investment management business and will work closely with leadership on various business activities. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare foreign tax workpapers and tax filings for numerous companies in the consolidated group with operations  in foreign jurisdictions
  • Prepare various U.S. international tax calculations and analysis, including Foreign Tax Credits, Subpart F, PFIC and GILTI
  • Prepare, document and/or review global transfer pricing studies and Country by Country analysis
  • Assist with the preparation/review of Master File/Local File requirements for various jurisdictions
  • Assist with the annual and monthly tax provision calculations and documentation; non-U.S. tax audits and the international tax aspects of domestic tax audits; and Competent Authority and APA filings and requests, as applicable
  • Participate in calls with external service providers regarding the planning, review and completion of various international research and compliance projects; prepare projections and "what if" analysis

 

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4+ years of U.S. International and non-U.S. income tax experience, preferably including experience at an international public accounting firm
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required; CPA, MBT, or MBA are a plus
  • Tax experience should include broad exposure to general tax and accounting principles; solid tax research skills; expertise with international tax issues from both a U.S. federal perspective and a local perspective; experience with book tax provisions, including ASC 740; and experience assisting with tax audits.  Transfer pricing experience is desirable, but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, SAP accounting systems, Corptax tax software, and tax provision software desired
