Senior Front End Developer/REACT Technologies

As a Senior Front End Developer/REACT Technologies  on the Digital Team within the Retirement Plan Services IT Organization, you will lead the design, architecture, front end build, and roll out of a high performing, resilient system developed in AWS cloud. You drive recommendations on how to envision, develop, scale, and launch solutions with second to none user experiences and transformative power. Thought leadership and product ideation is an area in which you will heavily contribute.

 

You will enjoy mentoring other associates who are in earlier stages of their careers, providing  just in time feedback as they present and implement their solutions.  You will connect with colleagues in other groups of technology to grow your network, and opportunities for influence and learning.

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical degree
  • You have at least 7 years of software engineering experience with expertise in React.js and its core principles, experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux), HTML/CSS, Typescript, and REST API services.  Full Stack (Java, Springboot, Data Modeling, SQL) is a definite advantage
  • You’re an expert with core AWS services (e.g., AWS Fargate, ECS, Lambda, ELB, Aurora/ Postgres, etc.) and are AWS certified
  • You have experience with DevOps practices using AWS Cloud Formation, AWS Code Build, and AWS Code
  • Your expertise includes best practices relating to APIs (OAuth, SSL, CORS, JWT etc.) and producing visually appealing designs focused on usability, utility, UX, cross-browser compatibility, and SEO 
  • You have a deep understanding of software engineering best practices and comfortable demonstrating and guiding associates through SDLC activities (analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, support, etc.) for multiple features within a product and/or full scope of the product
  • You have a foundation of technical ability, business acumen, leadership skills, and a desire to provide knowledge transfer. You demonstrate innovation by challenging current thinking and bringing on new ideas
  • You have technology vendor management experience. You’ve provided technology direction, guidance and oversight of vendor solutions and integrations
  • You’re recognized for building strong stakeholder relationships and exceeding client delivery expectations
