Capital Group’s Strategic Sourcing and Procurement (SS&P) is a newly formed group of 40+ dedicated sourcing and procurement leaders that drive strategic business initiatives.  We are on an exciting multi-year transformational journey to continuously improve capabilities, processes and technologies for our group.

 

As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist in the Strategic Sourcing & Procurement group based in Irvine, you will be responsible for leading enterprise category management and strategic sourcing activities including but not limited to: conducting sourcing events, leading negotiations, contracting & contract management, and supplier management with a focus on business process outsourcing and third party labor including global offshoring.

 

Responsibilities:
•Establishes category management strategy for third party labor and business process outsourcing and develops relationships with senior leadership as a trusted advisor for Sourcing and Vendor Management
•Leads enterprise strategic sourcing activities/projects including identifying and coordinating sourcing project teams, conducting market analysis and applying broad industry knowledge to sourcing strategies and recommendations
•Negotiates and executes enterprise contractual agreements  for engagements that are high-dollar, high complexity, or high priority by leveraging multiple negotiation methodologies to achieve desired outcomes in a consistent methodical manner, partners closely with business and other subject matter advisors to ensure that the best interests of Capital Group are represented in negotiations
•Develops complex Statements of Work (SOW) or contracts for sourcing engagements or projects and maintains on-going vendor relationships and ensures vendor accountability

 

Qualifications:
•7+ years of experience related to Sourcing & Procurement, Finance, and/or business administration & operations
•Financial services or asset management business operations experience desired
•Experience in negotiation, contracts and SOWs desired
•Demonstrates ability to influence senior business leaders on strategic business matters.
•Demonstrates intellectual curiosity, analytical, and problem solving skills in areas of high complexity, ambiguity and diversity.
•Demonstrates ability to lead and manage complex projects of significant scope across the organization.
•Demonstrates ability to collaborate and develop/maintain working relationships inside and outside the organization to enable effective completion of business objectives.
•A degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business Administration or Professional Sourcing Certification strongly desired
