In this role, you will be a key member directly contributing to the design, engineering, stability, integrity, and smooth operation of security technology solutions that support Capital Group's business functions. The Technology Engineer plays a leadership role in the operational support of IT security solutions by applying proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve normal and complex issues in order to minimize outages.  This role's primary responsibilities are: Active Directory, Cloud security integration, Okta, Certificate/Key Management – as well as a host of red and blue team technologies – and opportunities in all realms of Security Engineering.  This position is located in San Antonio, TX, or Irvine, CA.
  • Certificate and Key Management technologies and automation
  • Active Directory DS & LDS, FIM/MIM, GPO, Change Auditor, Recovery Manager, Azure AD Connect
  • Okta, AWS and Azure Cloud Identity and Authentication services, Linux AD integration (Centrify)
  • Red and Blue team tooling
  • Auditing technology
  • Full Product Portfolio support: Design, Engineering and Operational ownership, with a goal of automation to reduce touch (eliminate need for administrative login)
  • Performs advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis of incidents of varying complexity related to Active Directory, Okta, Cloud, PKI and other security solutions within the portfolio
  • Extends/creates automation code, fix bugs, and independently works within an existing SLM tool-chain 
  • Establishes overall health of Certificate/Key Management, Active Directory, Okta and Cloud services by evaluating primary and secondary health markers
  • Automates manual processes through the use of standard automation toolsets
  • Adheres to rigorous release and change management processes
  • Participates in and may recommend continuous improvement and operations excellence efforts
  • Provides mentoring and leadership to more junior team members
  • **May be required to work outside normal business hours and participate in an on call support rotation
  • 3+ years of Certificate/Key Management solutions
  • 3+ years of Active Directory, Domain Admin experience (Active Directory design & architecture, Group Policy, Windows Server, Security, Active Directory troubleshooting)
  • 3+ years of experience with coding and the software development lifecycle process (manage infrastructure w/code), strongly desired
  • Strong experience with PowerShell and Python and other modern languages
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Prior experience with configuration/automation management frameworks such as Ansible a plus
  • Prior experience with public cloud providers (Azure, AWS, etc.) preferred
  • Technical Certifications desired and a plus, such as: MCSE, CISSP
  • Working experience with Okta, PKI a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred
