As a Technology Engineering Manager, you will manage and lead a team of technology engineers that supports Capital Group’s Technology and Service Operations business area. You will directly interact with a wide range of IT teams to define strategic vision and execute on technology roadmaps. You are a leader and an avid team player with a high level of curiosity that enjoys looking for solutions to challenging business problems and leading successful cross-functional teams.

  • You will help build competitive advantages by applying database and compute technologies by leading a team of Technology engineers and partnering with several product/technology vendors. 
  • You will build, grow, and lead the foundational platform services team to develop and maintain end to end products and services while fostering innovation, leveraging new technologies, and having customer centered service mindset.
  • Your work will span developing and managing the product lifecycle and ensuring successful execution of new and ongoing capabilities. 
  • You will collaborate with cross functional teams, business partners, and technology and vendor partners to deliver the products and services with high quality and user satisfaction to achieve desired business results.

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • You have 10+ years of technology engineering and operation experience working with Platform engineering and operations, Application Services, Information Security, and Vendor management teams to represent strategic positioning and influences outcomes.
  • You have at least 3+ years of people management experience acting as a player/coach. You create high standards of excellence and set an example for others to follow, and you bring energy and enthusiasm to the environment. You build a genuine relationship and lead with care, and you actively engage, motivate and coach your team to meet business goals.
  • You have proven experience developing technology roadmaps in collaboration with business stakeholders and cultivating innovative technology solutions.
  • You have experience with on-premises and cloud platform engineering and operations – preferred database, compute, and middleware platforms
  • You have experience in managing technology vendors and onshore/offshore partners
  • You have experience building and managing products using Agile
