We’re working hard to advance diversity, equity and inclusion in our organization and our communities because we know that what makes us different makes us better.

We want you to feel a strong sense of belonging. We value and welcome your experiences, ideas and identity. “I can influence my income.”

You want to feel recognized at work. Your performance will be reviewed annually, and your compensation will be designed to motivate and reward the value that you provide. You’ll receive a competitive salary, bonuses and benefits. Your company-funded retirement contribution will be the equivalent of 15% of your annual pay (including bonuses).

“I can lead a full life.”

You bring unique goals and interests to your job and your life. Whether you’re raising a family, you’re passionate about where you volunteer, or you want to explore different career paths, we’ll give you the resources that can set you up for success.

  • Enjoy generous time-away and health benefits from day one, with the opportunity for flexible work options
  • Receive 2-for-1 matching gifts for your charitable contributions and the opportunity to secure annual grants for the organizations you love
  • Access on-demand professional development resources that allow you to hone existing skills and learn new ones

At Capital Group, our mission is to improve people’s lives through successful investing. We invest in public companies and fixed-income securities around the globe and are challenged with bringing unique perspectives and long-term thinking to our research and decision making. The Capital Associates Program (CAP) is an opportunity for early career individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences to learn and contribute to this mission by gaining direct exposure to investment management.

CAP is a highly selective three-year global rotational program at Capital Group, one of the world’s leading investment management firms. All majors are welcome, and a background in finance is not necessary. We’ll give you the tools and hands-on experience through structured training and an ability to work with and learn from experienced investors.

CAP is based in Los Angeles, London or Singapore. From there, rotations will take you to different offices around the world, reflecting the global nature of investing and Capital Group.

CAP offers you the chance to:

  • Learn more about public market investing through a variety of assignments in investing research and related departments, while also getting a lot of responsibility early.
  • Get personalized career coaching and professional development, in-house investment courses, training workshops and CFA sponsorship.
  • Challenge yourself to learn to think like an investor, and demonstrate excellence and independent thinking in your qualitative and quantitative work.
  • Work at a nonprofit of your choice for four months while getting paid by Capital Group.

While you don’t have to stay on at Capital Group after CAP, we work with you to identify great long-term placements based on who you are, what you’ve learned, and the needs of the business.

Undergraduate students in their final year of study (US: college seniors) and those with up to 1-year of related experience post-graduation are invited to apply. All majors are welcome: we’re looking for thought leaders across all disciplines.

Applying: Please submit the following documents:

Instead of a cover letter, please submit your transcript (an unofficial copy is sufficient) and 1-2 paragraph answer to ONE of the following questions:

  • A resume and a transcript only tell part of the story. What else should we know about you that makes you a great candidate for CAP?
  • Do you have a prior interest in investing? Tell us more about that.
  • What’s a topic that you are passionate about? With three months and resources, how would you explore this topic?

Additional Details:

Work authorization? We are often able to obtain visas for CAP participants during and upon completion of the program.

We hire MBA candidates and graduates through a separate recruiting process. Please check our website for more info.
