You will be responsible for oversight of funds/clients’ accounts with respect to facilitation of the Capital System and delivery of CG’s strategies via V-flex range of vehicles. 

You will focus on solutioning and using operational experience to find creative ways to problem solve. As well as driving process improvements, utilising project management experience and driving change across the business.

You will engage with the Investment Group, Trading, Vehicle Specialists and V-flex program, with the opportunity to run new vehicle launches, technology rollouts and process engineering initiatives by serving as a subject matter expert in close collaboration with CG Business Analysts.

 

Primary responsibilities/essential functions:

Facilitation of the Capital System:

  • Responsible end-to-end for client accounts to ensure proper construction with respect to portfolio convictions regulatory compliance and established guidelines in a timely manner.
  • Assists and provides suggestions to the Principal Investment Officer (PIO) / Mandate Manager (MM) with cash flow management by providing timely information, executing cash allocations / call-backs, or preparing mock-ups to invest / raise cash.
  • Researches issues and suggests solutions to the MM and/or the PIO when needed.
  • Assists in the maintenance of the Fund / mandate eligibility lists, ensuring investments are compliant and may monitor companies periodically to ensure they remain eligible.
  • Implements / oversees other non-routine client directed activities (e.g. account benchmark change).

Delivery of the Capital System via V-flex range of vehicles:

  • Responsible for the oversight and delivery of PIC’s daily vehicle optimisation and order management responsibilities.
  • Provides detailed, practical understanding of vehicle optimisation processes including Axioma and Command Center functionality as well the upstream operational activities that impact vehicle alignment and the data health of CG’s optimisation process.
  • Demonstrate in-depth conceptual knowledge of vehicle optimisation objectives: specific client and strategy details, impacts of asset characteristics, liquidity considerations as well as legal and policy frameworks.
  • Provides timely monitoring and communications to Vehicle Specialists, Vehicle Portfolio Managers to ensure optimal production health is maintained.

Strengthens relationships and trust with key stakeholder to improve the investment process and resolve operational issues.

Supports key stakeholders in the oversight of more complex Fund/mandates and their investment objectives.

Continuous Improvement & Process Innovation:

  • Proactively shares ideas and participates in the enhancement of policies, procedures and controls to mitigate risk.
  • Partner in projects with Business Analysts and Developers to create scaled business solutions. Play a leading role to integrate, stabilize and improve processes to realize efficiencies and mitigate risk to enable scale.
  • May present business development topics to Senior Leadership.
  • May support the use of self-service technology and data analysis tools to improve processes, automate workflow and enable business adoption.

 

Business & technical skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of Portfolio Implementation and Compliance functions.
  • In-depth knowledge of the securities and investment business and Capital’s investment process.
  • Effective and influential written and oral communication skills with a diverse group of associates, senior business leaders and the Investment Group
  • Leading Capital - leads, drives, and engages to deliver on the “what” and the “how”
  • Business Agility - adept at process optimization and “connecting dots” across business functions to develop business solutions
  • Project Engagement - organized planner, drives execution, alignment, communications
  • Tech Navigation - leverages technology to achieve better outcomes through data extraction and transformation; processes improvement via digital automation and collaborating on IT process engineering.
  • Demonstrates intermediate skills and experience with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience of enhancing processes through the design and implementation of Automation/Financial Technology (FinTech)
