Overview of the Product Marketing Team

The business has grown rapidly in the past five years and is set for further expansion. Strategic marketing is seen as an important element of this growth and, within it, Product Marketing plays a key role in the articulation of the current and future investment services across a wide range of marketing materials.

 

This offers an exciting opportunity for someone to work within a highly collaborative environment but with significant potential to make an individual contribution to a growing business that is launching new strategies across a range of vehicle types and finding new ways to articulate Capital Group’s distinctive investment process and approach to ESG.

 

Position Overview:

 

The role is responsible for helping define, plan and create product and thematic/investment materials to promote our investment offering across our target markets in Europe and Asia.

 

Working with stakeholders throughout the Europe and Asia Client Group, the individual will be responsible for helping develop and deliver the marketing toolkit.

 

Their main duties will include:

 

  • Working across the business - Investment Product Specialists and Investment Directors, Country Marketing Managers and Sales associates - to help create, review and update product specific messaging that can be used to support the promotion of Capital Group’s range of investment services.
  • Creation and ownership of the messaging and content for a range of materials – e.g. sales books, promotional literature, web, video and other digital content for specific investment strategies.
  • To ensure product positioning and strategy, client feedback, investment insights and responses to sales objections are considered in the materials
  • Working closely with Country Marketing Managers to ensure that our marketing channels (email comms, website, videos, events etc) reflect the latest messaging for our investment services and are appropriate for the relevant audience.
  • Responsible for the delivery and prioritisation of the marketing toolkit for specific strategies in response to business priorities.

 

Skills & Experience

 

  • 3+ years’ experience of Product or Investment Marketing
  • A good understanding of investment management products and asset management markets.
  • Experience of working with sales teams to support and drive engagement with prospects and clients - ideally across both Institutional and Financial Intermediary channels.
  • Ability to understand insights from Investment Groups and Sales teams, with the motivation to learn how to turn them into compelling messaging to support product-specific initiatives.
  • Good written and oral communication skills, stakeholder management and an ability to build strong working relationships.
  • High levels of energy and commitment
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritise effectively
