Capital Group’s Legal and Compliance team is a critical resource for our business area assessments of risk. Our team continuously educates, collaborates, and makes recommendations to our business groups to ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements. 


As an Administrative Assistant based in Los Angeles, CA, you will provide administrative support to five managers in a fast-paced Legal/Compliance department and have the unique opportunity to participate in challenging and interesting Legal/Compliance related projects. You have a can-do attitude, are extremely well organized and enjoy tackling new challenges in a team-oriented environment.

 

What you’ll do:
•Coordinating and scheduling complex meetings and events involving participants in multiple locations, compiling meeting agendas, reserving meeting space and arranging all details
•Interacting with internal clients in person, via phone, and via email
•Creating and updating PowerPoint presentations and proofreading documents
•Making travel arrangements and creating expense reports
•Creating, updating, and organizing reports utilizing various databases including SharePoint and Excel
•Various department specific projects

 

What we’re looking for:
•A minimum of 2-3 years of previous Administrative Assistant or similar experience supporting multiple senior leaders in a corporate environment preferred
•A self-starter with excellent judgment, exceptional communication skills, strong customer service and professionalism 
•A strong problem-solver with initiative to work creatively and support managers proactively in a team environment
•Experience with electronic calendaring and coordinating complex travel arrangements, both domestic and international
•A desire and demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and leverage opportunities for process improvements
•Ability to compile data and complex information into useful summaries and reports
