As a Marketing Audience Lead (Sr Specialist) at Capital Group, you will be part of a high performing team responsible for helping hardworking employees across the U.S. improve their retirement readiness by creating breakthrough engagement on the new ICanRetire platform.


In this new and important role, you’ll develop a deep and nuanced understanding of what shapes people’s perspectives on investing and how to subsequently apply that understanding to motivate action in their retirement plan at work.   You’ll establish strong working partnerships across marketing, sales, research and analytics to build audience profiles that inform the evolution of capabilities we offer through ICanRetire.

Your primary responsibilities will consist of serving as the subject matter expert (SME) on the participant audience, including developing needs-based personas, collaborating with internal and external partners to translate insights into effective content and tools and defining the audience learning agenda and supporting scorecard to drive the test, learn and optimization process. By successfully engaging and inspiring action in their retirement plan, you’ll help make a meaningful difference in people’s financial lives.

  • You have prior experience working in financial services in a marketing, strategy, insights or audience-focused role.
  • You are a creative thinker who is driven, curious and imaginative. 
  • You have outstanding written, presentation and storytelling skills, including keen listening skills. 
  • You enjoy working on teams where you will be able to jump in and learn quickly, test and try and "fail fast", and view yourself as having a desire to exceed expectations. 
  • You are highly organized and detail-oriented with ability to combine strategic direction with hands on tactical execution
  • You are highly responsive and enjoy responding to requests from clients, business partners and cross-functional team members. 
  • You thrive in enviornments and are most successful when you have the opportunity to collaborate with multiple teams across an organization to deliver a common goal
