As one of our Business Development Specialist (BDS) you will represent all of Capital’s investment services in the mid, large Defined Contribution Public Fund/Taft-Hartley market as well as the mega Public Fund/Taft- Hartley Defined Benefit institutional market. You have plenty examples of times when you’ve gathered information from a variety of sources, synthesized it, and presented it in a distilled manner. You will coordinate with our record-keeper and field consultant partners and will be responsible for facilitating prospecting for opportunities, as well as opportunity maintenance throughout the sales cycle. You take the time to create and maintain meaningful relationships and you’re a generous collaborator and strong project manager. You’ve fine-tuned your communication style to influence a variety of personalities. You raise your hand when you see a problem or have a question. Your colleagues turn to you for sound recommendations based on facts.

 

Using tools like Salesforce, you'll partner with internal resources on critical support initiatives such as management reporting, data accuracy and mass/automated communications. You will partner with the Business Development Manager (BDM), Internal Sales & Support Coordinator (ISSC) in a sales-oriented team model.   • You have a constant pulse on economic market trends and industry developments and a deep level of investment expertise.
  • You'll help drive business value by taking on significant client/prospect responsibility immediately
  • You will present our strategies to our clients and prospect relationships as well as be coordinate all sales opportunities.
  • Ability to conduct meetings with prospects on behalf of the Business Development Manager
  • Ability to conduct effective meetings with record-keeper professionals, field consultants, and senior associates
  • You can conduct effective finals meetings and develop relationships with key partners internally and externally
  • You can uncover opportunities and moving them through each stage of the sales cycle
  • Ability to prioritize and organize core responsibilities and handle multiple priorities
  • Preference given to candidates with at least 10 years of investment industry experience, especially in institutional sales, or credentials such as CFA or MBA
  • You have a Series 7, 63 or willing to obtain within 12months
  • You have a bachelor's degree
