Investment Services includes the Investment Product Management (IPM) team and the Client Analytics Group (CAG).  These teams help represent our investment and portfolio construction perspectives and competitive advantages in a compelling manner via research and connectivity to our investment professionals.  They works closely with sales leadership to identify and meet the needs of our sales force while leveraging media and technology to creatively deliver our insights and research.  

As an Investment Services – Business Operations Manager  Associate you will be strategically aligned to the Client Analytics Group (CAG) and the Investment Product Management (IPM) teams within Capital Group’s North American Distribution unit.  However as a part of the IS Operations team there will be exposure to the broader Investment Services group through projects and special assignments.

Responsibilities: 

  • Demonstrates an intermediate to advanced technical and business knowledge and works under direction only as needed.
  • Responsible for content management across both CAG and IPM, including Compliance reviews and effective and timely dissemination of content.
  • Assists team leads managing team infrastructure, including creating and drafting policies and processes.
  • Responsible for eliciting and documenting business requirements, managing/identifying/evaluating business project risks and potential impediments.
  • Oversees teams’ data licenses and manages implementation programs of new technology, roadmaps and data access.
  • Provides project management for small to medium sized initiatives, sometimes with significant scope and complexity.
  • Works across the organization to influence and prioritize critical projects.

Qualifications: 

  • A minimum of 3+ years relevant experience; familiarity with the asset management industry strongly preferred
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills, allowing for successful management of multiple accountabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (esp. PowerPoint, Excel and Word); familiarity with industry data sources and databases is a plus.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings and recommendations to senior managers and to facilitate group meetings.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
