As a Business Operations Senior Manager in Investment Operations (IO), you will play a critical role in business planning and operations for IO Data, IOX, Funds Platform and GCS. Your scope will include strategic and operational oversight for various business functions including demand management, department operating rhythm and communications, as well as department planning and oversight of initiatives, resources, and operational health. You’ll add value as a strategic business partner by aligning business plans across IO functions including IO Data, IOX, Funds Platform and GCS to ensure that strategic priorities stay on track. You will also operate and mature the demand management capability in IO. This includes defining and evolving the demand processes, maturing governance and tooling, and facilitating demand/capacity trade-off conversations for business leadership.

 

We will leverage your project management and influencing skills to assist in defining the process for cross-group planning and coordination. You’ll collaborate across business functions and represent IO’s interests and needs in broader cross-functional meetings within Capital Group. You have an appreciation and understanding of how to leverage data to make informed business decisions, risk management, business analysis and organizational design to achieve desired outcomes.

  • You’ve led large scale projects and are familiar with project life cycles. You have in-depth knowledge in project management and have successfully led projects with broad business impact that involved multiple functions and stakeholders.
  • Your career has been built upon your success in delivering complex and broad change initiatives within large companies.
  • You have experience leading annual business/fiscal year planning along with facilitating and preparing for quarterly business reviews of department finances, initiatives and KPIs.
  • You’re a people leader. You’ve either directly or indirectly managed a range of experience levels, capabilities, and working styles.
  • You possess strong facilitation and relationship building skills with the ability to influence senior business leaders on strategic business matters, coupled with strong managerial courage to challenge leaders as appropriate.
  • You have a bachelor’s degree.
