CIGS Short Term Credit Analyst Team Manager


The Short-Term Credit Team provides relevant, quality and timely research and risk analysis on short term issuers, and trading counterparties in support of Capital Investment Group Services (CIGS) strategic priorities and to enable the CG mission of “Improving people’s lives through successful investing.” 


Manages, coaches and develops a team of 6-8 associates, enhance the current service model and capabilities, oversee strategic initiatives which contribute to the long-term direction of the department.  Builds strong relationships with team members and stakeholders to anticipate research needs and partner to deliver quality/timely research. Demonstrates an ability to provide coaching, development, and an ability to help associates to evolve their skills and to contribute to department goals and strategic priorities in the context of CG’s long-term strategy.


Primary responsibilities

  • Oversees team to ensure project/department milestones/goals are met.
  • Grow a department focused on clear priorities
  • Builds, directs and supports a strong team.
  • Manages associate performance and development through coaching to ensure goals and objectives are attained.
  • Ensures highest level of service is efficiently delivered by the team.
  • Provides high level guidance and resolutions on escalated issues, exceptions, and complex requests with broad impacts.
  • Fosters relationships across CG business units to facilitate team goals and objectives.
  • Fosters relationships with industry partners to stay abreast of industry developments and best practices.
  • Project manager and team leader – Setting objectives and deadlines, planning through the identification of deliverables and milestones, delegating and getting buy-in, informing and serving stakeholders, and driving to results
  • Agent for growth – Continuously improving processes, developing associates’ deep technical expertise and operational excellence, enhancing relationships within Global Finance and external stakeholders
  • Collaborator – Gathering diverse perspectives and business knowledge, synthesizing differing views and rigorous analysis into high quality conclusions, and contributing to collaborative decision-making and strategic initiatives in an impactful manner 
  • Lead the planning stage of projects varying in complexity, size, and type. Create appropriate deliverables such as business case, change management strategy and the typical project management documents.
  • Drive the successful execution of assigned projects to deliver business outcomes based on key drivers. Includes both traditional waterfall and agile delivery approaches
  • Assess organizational impacts and develops strategies to implement change management.
  • Actively engage, motivate, develop, and coach associates to meet business goals.


Additional Responsibilities

  • Participates in annual regulatory audits, as needed.
  • Ensures solid understanding and compliance with Capital’s policies and practices and the guidelines set forth by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) pertaining to cash investments.
  • Maintains knowledge of SEC Rule 2a-7 and internal limits and guidelines on cash investing.
  • Serves as a resource for multiple departments on short term credit and/or counterparty matters.
  • Strengthens relationships and trust with the Investment Group and Global Trading by anticipating needs and offering solutions.
  • Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, peers and management.
  • Develop management presentations, as needed.
  • Adapt to changes, and manage several assignments simultaneously, setting priorities, meeting deadlines, and working independently within established guidelines.
