“I can succeed as a Compliance Specialist at Capital Group.”

As a Compliance Specialist, you will play a critical role on our Portfolio & Global Reporting Compliance (“PGRC”) team by ensuring we comply with global regulations, requirements and policies. You’ll conduct investment compliance research and leverage your passion for process optimization to support our global compliance controls and ownership reporting. Every day will be different as you partner with our in-house lawyers, compliance managers, and investment operations professionals to assist our portfolio compliance operations and research global regulatory requirements. You will also play an integral role in auditing our compliance processes and systems, to ensure our controls are working properly. To thrive in this role, you’ve lead others through analysis of regulations, you enjoy new challenges in a fast-paced environment and you are constantly trying to improve existing processes. Experience in the investment management industry or with fixed income or derivative products is a plus.

“I am the person Capital Group is looking for.”

  • You’ve had a successful career that involves problem-solving and critical analysis. You’re at your best when using judgment to balance competing considerations and can help others see the bigger picture.
  • You’ve always enjoyed researching and cross-referencing different sources of information to uncover gaps and discrepancies. In order to connect dots, you easily shift between seeing the big picture and dissecting precise details.
  • You have an interest and ability to interpret US and global regulatory requirements.
  • You are a regular excel user and comfortably work with nested IF functions, lookup functions (such as INDEX MATCH and VLOOKUP) and pivot tables. You have an interest and eagerness to learn about emerging technologies such as process automation or machine learning.
  • By asking great questions and bouncing ideas off others, you proactively share your perspective. You’re a skilled communicator and thrive in team settings by being authentic, respectful and engaging.
  • Your resilience has helped when you’ve enlisted the help of others, sifted through large data sets, re-prioritized, strategized, tailored communication, embraced conflict and identified critical issues.
  • You have a bachelor’s degree.
  • Audit experience is a plus.
