As a Fixed Income Trading Reporting and Transaction Analyst in our West, Los Angeles office you will be working closely with our traders leveraging your analysis of data to help in our best execution of trades.  This opportunity will sit directly on the trading desk with our Portfolio Managers and Traders covering all asset classes across Fixed Income.  You’ll be part of a team that provides accurate and timely analysis of Capital’s global trading activities with respect to trading strategies, costs and execution. Conducting research on fixed income market characteristics and structure for the trading and other investment related teams.

  • You can provide quantitative and qualitative analysis of Capital’s trading and execution data with respect to market activity.
    • You will collaborate with Traders to determine their informational needs and determines the most optimal delivery of data analysis.
    • You will analyze and interpret data through the use of statistical, mining, and visualization techniques.
    • You will develop clear and informative insights to support recommendations related to best execution.
    • You are someone who stays abreast of academic research, publications, and other global market structure knowledge that is relevant to trading analytics goals.
  • You will respond to data requests from Investment Operations or Compliance in relation to trade execution.
  • You can collaborate with IT partners to create sophisticated and robust analytic systems that support scientific computing and reporting environments.
    • You will leverage a variety of programming languages (i.e. SQL, Matlab, or Python) and technical skills to integrate and evaluate datasets from various internal and external systems and warehouses to provide insight.
    • You will use relevant and accurate data using a variety of databases and platforms such as Alteryx and Bloomberg.
    • You will maintain relationships with external service providers to provide reference data, calculations and necessary reporting.
    • You can ensure data quality and accuracy in analytics platforms and data warehouses.
