Global Client Services is part of Capital Group’s Investment Operations organization, with offices in Los Angeles, London, Singapore, and Tokyo. We service Capital’s institutional clients, prospects and intermediaries, and support institutional sales and distribution teams. Our mission is to deliver a superior client experience and enable the distribution of Capital Group’s investment services globally.


As an RFP Manager based in Los Angeles, CA you will lead a team of associates responsible for responding to requests for firm and product due diligence and new business proposals in support of the institutional and intermediary sales and service effort in North America.  You will manage the day to day operations of your team of Writers including the assignment and overall workflow/review process and the performance and development your associates.  You will partner with Global colleagues to set the strategic direction for our department. You will interact with various internal stakeholders (Operations teams, Distribution, Investment Services, Product teams, Legal/Compliance) to anticipate future business needs, identify opportunities to enhance capabilities and services, and develop and execute on action plans. 



  • Manage the overall workflow processes including the RFI, Due Diligence, and RFP assignments and deliverables
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Capital Group’s investment strategies and the institutional and intermediary business channels, while ensuring that global work processes and deliverables support the needs and priorities of Distribution teams and clients.
  • Assist stakeholders with evaluating the suitability of investment strategies for new business requests
  • Maximize efficiency and use of technology, while creating a culture of innovation
  • Develop a team which leverages industry best practices, optimizes business processes, and manages risk with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Lead projects, process improvements, and strategic initiatives



  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 8+ years of financial services experience
  • 3+ years directly managing a team (RFP experience preferred)
  • Deep knowledge of the investment management business, asset classes, investment products, vehicles and regulatory requirements
  • Working knowledge of industry tools and applications (e.g. PMAPS, eVest, Morningstar)
  • Skilled at fostering positive, collaborative working relationships with business partners
  • High level of intellectual curiosity and analytical skills along with ability to problem solve, balance stakeholder needs, and navigate ambiguity 
  • Ability to identify, assess, respond to and escalate risk/potential risk
