The Global Investment Control department directly supports Capital Group’s investment professionals, implements investment decisions and facilitates the investment process. Operating from locations in North America, Europe, and Asia, core functions include order management, portfolio construction and compliance, corporate action communication and coordination, and proxy services, among others.  These services support the management of equity and fixed income portfolios for retail, institutional and private clients.

Based in Los Angeles/San Francisco, the Investment Committees Ops Analyst works independently on standardized recurring assignments and under the direction of more senior staff on complex analyses, projects and tasks.  Ensures investment committees operate in a streamlined, coordinated manner.  Utilizes expertise and skills to advance process improvement and automation efforts. The Analyst will also participate in projects that impact the investment process and decision making at the senior business level. 

•   Serves as the central point of contact for equity Portfolio Manager (PM) changes and disclosures, ensuring that changes are made in all areas within the appropriate timeframe.
•   Coordinate the Fund review process across equity investment units.
•   Support Portfolio Coordinating Groups (PCG), policy, corporate Board and other investment committees.
•   Identify and make recommendations on design and implement process improvements (e.g., tasks that cannot be automated, avoiding duplication, automating tasks where possible).
•   Participate in, and potentially lead, ICOM and team initiatives.
•   Establish and strengthen relationships and trust with the investment group, Legal, IO and other business groups by performing quality work, anticipating needs and offering solutions.

•    Demonstrates intellectual curiosity, analytical skills and sound judgment.
•    Ability to develop an understanding of investment and operations process.
•    Displays high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with associates across all levels of the organization.
•    Strong technical skills (especially in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Tableau, etc.)
