We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to support two managers within our Investment Group Resource Management Team (IGRMT). Members of the IGRMT are spread across Capital Group’s San Francisco, Los Angeles, and London locations. They oversee the Equity and Fixed Income Research Assistants across North America, Europe, and Asia and are responsible for hiring, managing, providing training/development to the assistants. IGRMT also drives various projects and initiatives for our Global Investment Group. This Administrative Assistant will play an integral part of IGRMT and make a significant impact to the team’s overall business operations.


Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and scheduling complex meetings and events involving participants in multiple time zones
  • Making travel arrangements and processing expenses
  • Compiling meeting agendas, reserving meeting space, and arranging all associated details
  • Using and contributing to SharePoint sites, OneNote, PowerPoint presentations and Excel documents
  • Managing time away data and the associated processes
  • Creating and updating reports using various databases and spreadsheets
  • Interfacing with Investment Group Assistants (IGA’s), Investment Managers, and partnering with teams such as HR, IT and Office Services on various requests and projects
  • Assisting with hiring needs, which entails partnering with Strategic Sourcing and Procurement for contractor openings, reviewing resumes, and onboarding new assistants.


What would we like to see in your background?

  • 4-5 years of Administrative Assistant experience supporting multiple senior leaders in a corporate environment. HR experience is a plus
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Self-starter; ability to take on work with minimal to little guidance
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize time-sensitive tasks
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgment in ambiguous situations and flexibility with a changing workload
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a feedback-driven environment and demonstrate strong service orientation
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Experience coordinating domestic and international travel and processing expenses
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and leverage opportunities for process improvements
  • Ability to compile data and information into useful summaries and reports
  • A high degree of discretion and the ability to manage highly confidential information
