As an Investment Product Management (IPM) Senior Analyst, you will provide quantitative and qualitative support to IPM specialists and managers as they position and advocate for Capital’s investment strategies both internally and externally. This includes contrasting them with competitors in compelling ways and positioning them in ways that resonate with the salesforce and marketplace. Additionally, you will join IPM colleagues in playing a part in key North American Client Group (NACG) initiatives where IPM is involved for investment expertise and analysis. Analysts will typically rotate through asset classes (equity, fixed income, and multi- asset/solutions), gaining broad exposure to Capital’s strategies.

  • I can analyze and interpret key investment strategy attributes and statistics for Capital’s offerings as well as those of competitors. This analysis may span asset classes and a variety of vehicles, such as mutual funds, ETFs, collective investment trusts, separately managed accounts (SMAs) and segregated account mandates.
  • I can utilize industry publications, industry databases (e.g., Morningstar Direct, FactSet, eVestment, Bloomberg, Aladdin), internal proprietary databases and additional internal resources as needed to compile research.
  • I can take the lead in answering client & salesforce questions (from straightforward to complex and ambiguous) via our custom request inbox, “AskIPM”.
  • I can manipulate or re-organize large amounts of data across multiple sources to uncover key trends and create compelling exhibits that effectively communicate findings.
  • I can partner with others on the team in the creation of content for internal use by the sales force as well as content for external use with investors & intermediaries.
  • I can consult on internal projects impacting or involving our investment solutions.
  • I can prepare business-, investment- or market-related presentations and reports for use by IPM or Investment Directors at various forums.
  • I can develop and communicate content that is tailored toward audience sophistication and presents complex concepts in understandable ways.
  • I can present or co-present analysis or training materials internally, as needed.

  • I have 3+ years of work experience in the financial services sector preferred.
  • I have knowledge of and passion for markets and investments, financial distribution, investment vehicles, solutions, and portfolio construction.
  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to develop recommendations and support assertions with relevant quantitative and qualitative data.
