Within Capital Group, North American Distribution oversees sales and distribution for North America across various client groups including: individual investors, retirement plans and institutional clients.  Their efforts are focused on positioning Capital Group as the active investment manager of choice, providing superior service, sales and marketing experience while broadening our business.

As a National Account Manager- Research, you will be an advisory resource liason on our Cross Channel team you will identify and create business development opportunities as well as manage on-going relationships with Research Departments by delivering sales and marketing ideas. In partnership with a team of dedicated professionals the Advisory Resource Liaison will establish and/or build relationships with the home office research teams for their client base to help identify platforms and American Funds products that align with their business priorities.  


  • Develop, maintain, and manage relationships with the home office research teams for a select group of independent broker dealers.
  • Identify new business development campaigns and opportunities, develop plans, and communicate updates.
  • Communicate regularly with assigned firm research contacts; provide updates on the business, sell the contact on various opportunities or products, identify opportunities to develop the business, and uncover various business insights from the firm that can be shared with our sales force.
  • Work with firm research contacts to coordinate campaign rollout and identifies key tie-ins to share with their sales force.
  • Serve as expert across various internal channels in support of continued education and training for sales associates.


  • 10+ years experience selling financial services.
  • 5+ years selling products directly to the research community.
  • A deep investment knowledge coupled with a proven effectiveness at building long-term partnerships with investment professionals.
  • Exposure to Cross Channel clients strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Relevant field of study).
  • Strong preference given to candidates with and advance degree and/or CFA.
  • NASD series 7 and 63 securities licenses required (Clean compliance & U4 record required).
