We are seeking an experienced and versatile internal communications advisor to join our global team and work directly with our portfolio managers and analysts,  to tailor and strengthen investment communications across the team. The incumbent will develop powerful communication strategies and encourage clear, systematic and robust thinking – in the process, helping to strengthen our investment decision-making.

 

Position Description:

  • Function as a full-time, dedicated internal communications expert and  coach to investment professionals around the globe, helping this sophisticated and highly educated group refine and tailor their written and verbal communications strategies for maximum impact
  • Design and deliver written, verbal and presentation skills curriculum and workshops for  investment professionals, with a focus on helping them to build clear, well-articulated, data-driven investment theses and to deliver them through a variety of forums confidently and with conviction
  • Review and evolve internal investment communications to make them as clear and impactful as possible;  optimizing the format, structure and style of critical investment communications, and helping to craft a compelling message
  • Review industry reports and other key investment communications, ensuring that all recommendations are presented in an appropriate manner and style
  • Provide ongoing coaching for individuals that seek to improve the quality and confidence of their communication and presentation skills, or that need help preparing for a  specific event or meeting
  • Act as a consultant to business leaders, reviewing and providing feedback and guidance on key communication processes and approaches.
  • Play a key role in making communication across the group more efficient and easier to consume remotely either live or via replays.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required, emphasis on journalism, communications or writing-related field preferred
  • At least 5 (but ideally more)  years’ experience developing and implementing communications strategies and tools in a corporate environment
  • Financial services industry experience is preferable, and at very least should demonstrate an interest in investing
  • Global experience and perspective, demonstrated success working with native and non-native English speakers to produce a superior work product
  • Written and verbal communication skills of the highest caliber, with the ability to relay that knowledge and skill to others
  • Ability to tailor different types of communication to diverse and sophisticated audiences
  • Experience designing bespoke and implementing writing/ communications curriculum
  • A collaborative interpersonal approach with a natural teacher/coach orientation
