Capital Group’s Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) is made up of 100+ dedicated project and program experts that lead our largest strategic business and technology initiatives. These initiatives cover a variety of domains including Information Technology, Global Business Operations, Investment Operation, Sales and Marketing, and the Investment Group.

As a Senior Project Analyst based in Los Angeles or Irvine, you will support the delivery of mission-critical projects using your strengths in leading teams, collaborating to solve problems and driving for results. You will tackle multiple types of projects, some concurrently, and will lead your team throughout project stages, from planning to post launch and transition. You will work within a complex environment with project teams, business partners, leadership, external parties, and other stakeholders. You’ll bring clarity and structure to ambiguous problems along the way and escalate risks when needed. By communicating effectively and providing clear direction, you set the tone for project teams and drive their activities. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Helps lead the planning stage of complex projects and creation of related deliverables such as project plans, scope definition, cost estimates, resource plans and governance structure
  • Leads and assists in creation of a variety of project deliverables, i.e. market assessments, capability assessments, gap analyses, business strategies and implementation plans
  • Supports multiple projects concurrently, varying in size and scope
  • Defines and supports change management plans and business readiness; includes organizational impact analysis, stakeholder analysis, communication plan, training needs, and deployment rollout 
  • Exercises good judgment regarding when and how to escalate issues
  • Actively manages project dependencies and cross-project dependencies
  • Manages work plan updates, metrics and status reporting, risk/issues mitigation/escalation, financial tracking

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum five years of project management experience in managing cross-functional initiatives; ideally has experience at a management consulting firm, or project management at a financial services firm
  • Experience working with business, technology, and operations stakeholders at various levels to ensure that delivery expectations are aligned, managed and met
  • Demonstrated analytical ability, including financial analysis, business impact and cost/benefit analysis, business case development
  • Change management experience with organizational design, business readiness, communications, and training
  • Willingness to travel to other Capital Group locations (Irvine, CA; Los Angeles, CA) on a limited basis
