The Senior UX Designer leads the creation of user experience strategy, interaction, and interface design artifacts, and ensures quality and timeliness of creative deliverables in collaboration with creative, product, technical and business stakeholders. 
  • Gathers and understands user requirements to drive the user experience strategy and design
    • Develops and presents user experience recommendations to key stakeholders for large-scale complex initiatives.
    • Defines, gathers and analyzes qualitative and quantitative user data to cultivate the user experience in collaboration with design stakeholders.
    • Creates artifacts, including but not limited to, personas, scenarios, analyses (heuristic, task flow, journey maps and analytics), navigation models and interface concepts.
    • Partners with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand and communicate technical capabilities of business requirements. 
  • Identifies areas in need of improvement and forms recommendations to improve final artifact
    • Forms recommendations for user experience improvement by incorporating feedback from end users, project stakeholders, and technical and design teams.
    • Ensures user experience interactions are developed as designed during the development phase.
    • Creates final artifacts in partnership with visual designers and writers.
    • Monitors feedback and analytics to recommend and prioritize iterative improvements.
  • Creates rapid prototypes to illustrate design and interaction concepts
    • Builds and maintains prototypes of key user flows, interactions and design specifications throughout the design lifecycle.
    • Acts as a subject matter expert of user experience design principles, best practices and processes.
    • Stays abreast of current and emerging trends and technologies and incorporates into user experience practice, as appropriate.
    • Recommends and ensures consistent use of design patterns across digital properties.
    • Utilizes appropriate iterative development methodologies.
    • Leverages and shares ideas and recommendations to apply broadly across multiple channels in collaboration with user experience team and other departments, as appropriate.
  • Provides direction to other associates and assists them in completing their assignments
    • Initiates and leads projects to improve overall digital experience through continuous evaluation of user behavior, design and structure.
    • Actively engages in user experience community (experts) and attends conferences to evaluate and apply industry best practices.
  • Influences and advocates for consistency and usability standards in partnership with external vendors.
  • 5+ years of UX design experience and knowledge of the financial industry a plus
  • Demonstrates ability to lead and manage projects across multiple teams or groups with the ability to influence groups and senior level associates 
  • Effective written and oral communication skills with diverse groups of associates and business leaders
  • Meaningful knowledge and understanding of omni-channel experience design and design thinking
  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of design and prototyping software and techniques on Mac OS
  • Demonstrates initiative by identifying issues and recommending solutions
  • Deep intellectual curiosity and analytical skills in broad areas relating to user experience, technology and design
