As the Audience (Strategic Marketing) Manager, you are responsible for developing and driving the marketing strategy for our Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) client segment. RIAs have been a consistent focus from Capital Group, as the industry is one of the fastest-growing advisor markets with needs that Capital is uniquely positioned to support. For the past six years, Capital Group has focused growing its brand reputation within this critical audience, launching several initiatives including RIA Insider and the Capital Group RIA Advisory Board.


This role is unique in our 300+ person Marketing organization in that the person must navigate a high degree of complexity with stakeholders ranging from Sales, Product, Service and other Marketing areas that use the marketing materials this team creates.

This role will work innovatively, collaboratively and cross-functionally due to the complexity of the RIA audience and its importance to Capital Group’s growth aspirations.  The RIA audience is a testing ground for multiple innovation efforts including digital product management, individualized content targeting, automated journeys and digital selling. The ideal candidate will be an innovative marketer who is inspired by the opportunity to learn more about ways to influence this complex audience.

  • You are a marketing leader who builds and fosters diverse and inclusive teams; ensuring an environment where all associates can bring their true and best selves to work.
  • You have abundant experience in strategic marketing and direct experience in marketing strategy and executions in the financial services and/or similarly highly regulated environment.
  • You are skilled in translating business problems into searing marketing insights, developing strategies, and managing execution of projects including product launches, enhancements and extension/ongoing support for existing products as well as brand building marketing tactics.  
  • You have a deep understanding of the needs and preferences of advisor audiences, along with RIAs, and the ability to enable the creation and deployment of effective marketing strategies that will differentiate Capital in the marketplace.
  • You are a proven leader with a track record of working with agile teams in developing and executing differentiated, break-through communications across multiple digital channels.
  • You are known for your ability to partner with external agencies, internal senior Marketing and Digital leaders to develop optimal of campaigns in line with annual and long-term business plans.
  • You are open to being based from one of our offices - Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Chicago, San Antonio, Atlanta, Indianapolis or Hampton Rhodes.
