Capital’s Talent Development and Organization Effectiveness team is a highly skilled and experienced group of HR professionals who share a common goal: to drive Capital’s talent strategy by empowering associates, elevating leadership capabilities and optimizing talent. We deliver robust and integrated talent solutions and programs. 

 

The vision for the Talent Strategy Consulting and Execution practice is to help business groups identify specific talent priorities that align with Capital’s talent strategy and position them to meet anticipated business challenges in the next 2-5 years.

As a Talent Development Business Partner, you will play a critical role partnering closely with HR Business Partners, business leaders and other supporting teams (e.g., Talent Development Programs, Organization Effectiveness, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, etc.) to provide consulting expertise for the full scope of talent management practices. You will help develop short-term and long-term plans that drive excellence across the talent ecosystem and talent lifecycle - attracting, developing, rewarding, and retaining talent – and support HR with the implementation. This is an amazing opportunity to help the business deliver on the people dimensions of our strategy. The right person for this role is able to use data to identify insights and build compelling stories, sees “the big picture” and has experience implementing practical solutions, loves to tackle talent challenges, is intellectually curious and genuinely appreciates collaboration.

 

Responsibilities

  • Consult with the business to understand strategic priorities and how well the business is meeting them. Leverage diagnostic intake and analytics to uncover the critical talent challenges and priorities.
  • Conduct interviews, research. Analyze to derive fact-based areas for improvement.
  • Develop problem statements and derive root causes of critical talent challenges.
  • Synthesize findings into a holistic and convincing concept. Define a seamless storyline framing critical talent choices leaders must make.
  • Identify practical and high-impact talent solutions and resources.
  • Develop cohesive enterprise and business group tactics and partner with HR to pave the way for implementation. Check in with HR to support progress. 
  • Help design a robust Talent Strategy Consulting Playbook.
  • Support the creation and implementation of scalable talent analytics and dashboards. Leverage data to help clients drive business performance through talent.
  • Maintain an extensive repository of talent management tools, resources and vendors.

 

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Talent Strategy or Business Strategy Consulting or related field; robust knowledge of and experience developing and implementing global talent strategies/solutions
  • Thrives working collaboratively and has keen ability to manage relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of complex information and quantitative data to draw valid conclusions, identify significant trends, and recommend practical talent solutions
  • Ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear/concise manner with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Operates with a strategic mindset balanced with tactical, practical execution
  • Resourceful, proficient at solving problems, attention to detail, highly organized and ability to prioritize workload; comfortable with a fast-paced rapidly evolving environment
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or Masters in Organizational Behavior or Human Resources Management is preferred
