Our opportunity is available in Irvine, CA, San Antonio, TX or Carmel, IND. As an Instructional Design Specialist  you will be responsible for:

  • participating in all phases of the instructional design process, including the maintenance of existing content,
  • developing and conducting assessments
  • leading and managing low complexity projects across multiple teams or groups
  • coaching and mentoring other training associates

In addition, you may facilitate technical and soft skills training for multiple business groups.



  • Designs and develops training for multiple business units, using a variety of modalities (e.g., instructor led classroom, webinar, virtual classroom, self-paced e-learning, self-paced paper); considers business needs and interdependencies of courses.
  • Collects and analyzes data from business units regarding potential new processes, knowledge, procedures, and systems in order to determine appropriate training intervention(s).
  • Develops, conducts, and interprets pre and post class testing and assessments.  Analyzes initial results, identifying potential impacts and discusses findings and recommendations with Training & Development and business unit management to recommend action.
  • May prepare and facilitate structured training and learning events for various courses and multiple audiences.



  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in instructional design
  • Meaningful experience with E-learning technologies (e.g., Captivate, Lectora, and VideoScribe)
  • Instructional design experience, including all phases of the ADDIE model (i.e., analysis, design, and development); incorporation of adult learning theories in design; measurement
  • Project group participation and direct client interaction
  • BA preferred, specific to corporate training, business education, or instructional design
  • Industry knowledge in qualified retirement planning, advisory, insurance, intermediaries or similar industries a plus
  • SharePoint site development and management and video editing experience preferred
