Global Finance partners with Capital Group business units to proactively provide relevant, timely and accurate financial reporting, innovative analysis and business insights that impact strategic decision-making while protecting the interests of investors/clients, associates and CG shareholders. Operating from locations in North America, Europe and Asia, core functions include strategic analysis, management reporting and planning, accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and billing and tax and treasury among others.

 

As a Senior Manager based in San Antonio TX, you will have principal responsibilities for the teams performing the global accounts payable, accounts receivable and billing for the Capital Group.  You will lead a large team of professional staff, including managers. You will need to drive transformation to integrate leading technologies and continuous improvements to enhance end to end processes from sourcing to reporting.  Additionally, you will need to understand and influence the administration fees and fee billing impacts of an evolving product mix to clients, investors, and the Capital Group’s financial condition.

 

You will work closely with a range of associates within Global Finance, IT and our internal business areas to oversee the above functions.  Additionally, as a member of the senior management team, you will have broad responsibilities for setting goals and objectives for the department as well as long-term, strategic planning. You will have leadership responsibilities for associates including professional development as well as performance management of associates and managers.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Setting objectives and deadlines, planning through the identification of deliverables and milestones, delegating and getting buy-in, informing and serving stakeholders, and driving to results
  • Demonstrating a broad understanding of our business goals and objectives and the ability to engage and influence associates in that understanding and vision; performing/understanding  complex accounting and financial statement impacts of multiple billing and payables decisions while encouraging the implementation of best practices in processes and internal controls
  • Manage strategic finance projects and present results to senior business leaders
  • Set the tone in the department and ensure that the Capital Group’s core values and philosophy are reflected through consistent role modeling
  • Build a high performing team, including developing skills of the future, performance management and development of future leaders, as well as manage, motivate, coach and inspire associates on the team

 

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in a senior management capacity
  • Demonstrates ability to influence senior business leaders on technical and strategic business matters
  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and analytical skills in areas of high complexity, ambiguity and diversity with the ability to apply knowledge to work assignments
  • Demonstrates ability to lead and manage projects of significant scope across the organization
  • Demonstrates ability to collaborate and develop/maintain working relationships inside and outside the organization to enable effective completion of business objectives
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration and CPA is preferred.
  • Monthly travel to Los Angeles area offices.
