The Global Investment Control department directly supports Capital Group's investment professionals, implements investment decisions and facilitates the investment process. Operating from locations in North America, Europe, and Asia, core functions include order management, portfolio construction and compliance, trade support, corporate action communication and coordination, and proxy services, among others. These services support the management of equity and fixed income portfolios for retail, institutional and private clients.

 

As an Order Management Associate based in San Francisco, you will play a critical role on the Order Management team, focusing on processing equity trade authorizations along with verifying trades comply with established rules and guidelines. The associate also acts as a liaison between investment professionals, traders, and other business groups regarding fund portfolios and investment transactions.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Process equity trade authorization requests from investment professionals and resolves issues
  • Answer inquiries from equity investment professionals, trading, and other business areas with regards to portfolios and transactions
  • Partner with colleagues in trading, legal and compliance, and fund accounting, to ensure complex transactions are processed timely and accurately
  • Handle ad hoc compliance, market cap, and yield reports for investment professionals
  • Participate in projects and team/department initiatives

 
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; knowledge of investment management industry is a plus
  • 0-2 years of financial services experience preferred
  • Technologically savvy with advanced Microsoft Excel and/or Tableau skills preferred
  • Ability to use sound judgment in identifying and resolving complex issues with the ability to assess/anticipate impacts and challenges within the department
