Role Summary: Reporting into the Head of Information Security, APAC, the Information Security Specialist will be a core member of the Information Security team in region, focused on technical enablement of regional strategic initiatives while alleviating enterprise cyber risk

 

As the technical security subject matter expert in region, the Information Security Specialist will ensure that platform security and proactive risk reduction is facilitated across enterprise platforms with the regional governance team, technology engineering, operations, and architecture, while maintaining adherence to local regulatory standards across Capital’s operating locales in APAC.

 

The incumbent will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in our Information Technology Group (ITG), Global Risk Management, and Business Groups in addition to external partners and vendors, to ensure that platform and technology security and standards aligns with industry standard frameworks and best practices.

 

Primary responsibilities/essential functions

  • Principal security technologist in region, working closely with information security officers and functional teams to optimize platforms and system security in region
  • Subject matter expertise in threat modeling and platform/infrastructure security, identifying and mitigating risks with global security functions for core enterprise platforms and applications
  • Controls validation: The incumbent will work closely with technology risk in support of controls validation initiatives
  • Support global architectural and engineering teams on identifying best in class security solutions to help alleviate enterprise platform risk
  • Facilitate and optimize delivery of security tools and controls into the region
  • Continued optimization of enterprise policies and standards to enhance systems security and resiliency
  • Heavily vested in technology/security controls options out on market, in support for continuous enhancements of our technology security controls stacks

Core requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related technical degree
  • A leader in information security/techology with at least 15 years of experience (Preferably in the financial services industry, in the domains of infrastructure security/solutions architecture or security engineering 
    • You have successfully led engineering teams who provide oversight and assurance of security/platform controls, defined and develop security requirements and policy in line with platform security initiatives.
  • Critical eye towards identification of technology risks, with the ability to develop controls and solutions for remediation
  • Strong proficiencies in Cloud/SDDC/Virtualisation/Container technologies
  • You are highly knowledgeable of both internal and external business environments in order to ensure information systems are maintained in a fully functional and secure mode, and are compliant with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations
