Role summary: Works independently on written client/intermediary requests for information, due diligence and new business requests, team projects, ad hoc requests and recurring assignments and under the direct supervision of more senior staff on complex projects, analyses and tasks. Provides quantitative and qualitative information about Capital Group’s (CG) institutional investment strategies including separate accounts and funds to internal associates, intermediaries, clients and prospects. Responsible for creating an accurate presentation of CG’s investment strategies by gathering and developing written content and information to complete responses to requests for information (RFI), due diligence requests (DDQs) and requests for proposals (RFP). Identifies opportunities to improve content, streamline processes and may participate in RFP and departmental projects.

 

Primary responsibilities/essential functions:

  • Responds to requests for information.
  • Builds and fosters relationships internally to ensure consistent external responses and messaging.
  • Gathers information and statistical data.
  • Works with manager to prioritize client/intermediary requests to ensure timely responses based on the relationship and the type of request.
  • May lead and/or participate in team projects.
  • Participates in the training of other associates
  • Serves as a general resource to the business for RFI/RFP/DDQ related information.

 

Business & Technical Skills:

  • Demonstrates working knowledge of investment strategies and general portfolio statistics and ability to apply it to work assignments.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of industry tools and applications (e.g. PMAPS, FAMIS).
  • Demonstrates ability to lead and manage projects within the team.
  • Demonstrates proven numerical ability and experience with quantitative submissions.
  • Demonstrates strong computer skills (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Demonstrates a high level of intellectual curiosity and analytical skills particularly in areas of complexity.
  • Demonstrates excellent writing skills and command of grammar.
