The Technology Support Associate is part of the Information Technology Group within Capital. The team seeks to deliver long-term investment results and service through effective technology that maximizes business value. The Technology Support Associate is responsible for providing on-site technical support for a variety of applications, system and hardware for several business units within Capital Group located in the Singapore office. The Associate will support the lifecycle management of workplace IT inventory and multimedia support. This includes infrastructure build-out, hardware provisioning, asset management, troubleshooting, on-going support on both desktop hardware & software components, and multimedia event planning/support

 

Roles & Responsibilities

 

  • Provide on-site second level support to Investment Group associates as well as first level support for traders
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of ticket status and resolution
  • Oversee the daily performance of computer systems
  • Liaise with associates to establish requirements for new systems or modifications
  • Develop training materials and procedures, and/or train associates in the proper use of hardware and software
  • Support workflow analysis activities as part of office automation feasibility studies, and make technical recommendations on system software configuration, hardware configuration, user policies, security and administrative procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Additionally, the Technology Support Associate keeps abreast of new technologies and works with other teams, including vendors, to implement new hardware and software into the environment. The role may require after hours and weekend duties as part of technical support and/or IT project implementation.  There might be a need to support shift schedule from 7am-4pm.

 

A basic understanding of financial markets and trade lifecycles is advantageous.
